Pulls the initials out of a full name, for monograms, avatars, signatures and name badges.
The name is split on spaces, and the first character of each word is taken and uppercased. Every word counts, including particles such as van or de. A hyphenated name such as Mary-Jane is one word and gives one initial. Accented letters and other scripts work, since whole characters are taken rather than bytes.
Ada Lovelace gives AL. ada king lovelace gives AKL. mary-jane van der berg gives MVDB.
Remove them from the name before typing, or delete their letters from the result. The tool includes every space-separated word.
Plain initials read first, middle, last. A traditional three-letter monogram often puts the surname initial in the middle, larger than the other two.
