Flip a coin and keep a running tally.
Free to use, no sign-up required. Coin Flip is one of 198 tools built into Xenition, alongside a chat that can use them for you.
Flips a virtual coin for heads or tails, to settle a decision or pick who goes first, and keeps a running count of the results.
Each flip takes one random byte from crypto.getRandomValues and looks at its lowest bit: 0 is heads and 1 is tails. That makes both sides exactly equally likely, and every flip is independent of the ones before it. The tally is saved with the tool, so it continues when you come back.
After ten flips the tally might read Heads 6 · Tails 4. That uneven split is normal for a small number of flips.
No. Each flip is a fresh 50/50 draw. Five heads in a row happens about once every 32 runs of five flips.
Random results only even out over many flips. With 10 flips a 6–4 or 7–3 split is common; after thousands, the share of heads gets close to 50%.
You do not have to open Coin Flip to use it. Ask Xenition in plain language and it runs the right tool, then carries the answer into whatever you are working on — a document, a spreadsheet, a deck.
