Weather

Current conditions, feels-like, hi/lo, wind, and humidity for your location.

Free to use, no sign-up required. Weather is one of 198 tools built into Xenition, alongside a chat that can use them for you.

Shows the current weather where you are, with feels-like temperature, today’s high and low, rain chance, wind, humidity, sunrise and sunset. Check it before heading out.

How to use Weather

  1. Type your city into the “Your city (e.g. New York)” box and press search, or tap “Use my current location”.
  2. Read the large temperature in °C, the condition label under it and the “feels” temperature.
  3. Check the high and low arrows, then Precipitation, Wind and Humidity in the row below.
  4. Tap the place name above the card to change location.

How it works

Data comes from the Open-Meteo forecast API for your coordinates, in that place’s time zone. Temperature, feels-like, humidity, wind at 10 m in km/h, rain falling now in mm and a WMO weather code are current values; high, low, sunrise, sunset and rain chance are today’s, the chance being the day’s highest hourly probability. The WMO code sets the label, such as 61 “Light rain”.

Example

A typical card reads 18°C, “Partly cloudy” and “feels 16°”, with high and low arrows, Precipitation as a percentage over “mm now”, Wind in km/h and Humidity in percent.

Questions about Weather

Why is the “feels like” temperature different from the real one?

It adds the effect of wind and humidity. Wind carries heat away, so it feels colder; humid air slows sweat evaporating, so heat feels hotter.

Does 40% precipitation mean it will rain 40% of the day?

No. It is the highest chance of measurable rain or snow in any hour today. The “mm now” figure is what is actually falling at the moment.

Use it from chat

You do not have to open Weather to use it. Ask Xenition in plain language and it runs the right tool, then carries the answer into whatever you are working on — a document, a spreadsheet, a deck.
