Timezone Converter

Convert a time between UTC offsets.

Free to use, no sign-up required. Timezone Converter is one of 198 tools built into Xenition, alongside a chat that can use them for you.

Converts a clock time from one UTC offset to another, with a representative city for each offset. Quick for checking a call time or a server log against local time.

How to use Timezone Converter

  1. Set the Time to convert.
  2. Choose From (time zone), the offset the time is in.
  3. Choose To (time zone), the offset you want.
  4. Read Time at the target offset, marked same day, next day or previous day.

How it works

The time is converted to minutes, the difference between the two offsets is added, and the result wraps around 24 hours. The list covers fixed offsets from UTC−12 to UTC+14, including half- and three-quarter-hour zones such as UTC+05:30 (Delhi) and UTC+05:45 (Kathmandu). Offsets are fixed: daylight saving time is not applied, so pick the offset a place is actually on at that time of year.

Example

21:30 at UTC+00:00 is 03:00 the next day at UTC+05:30. 09:00 at UTC−05:00 (New York in winter) is 23:00 the same day at UTC+09:00 (Tokyo).

Questions about Timezone Converter

Why is my New York conversion an hour off in summer?

New York is UTC−05:00 in winter but UTC−04:00 during daylight saving. This converter does not switch automatically, so choose UTC−04:00 for summer dates.

Why do some places have offsets like +05:45?

Offsets are set by each country and are not always whole hours. India uses +05:30 and Nepal +05:45, so they are listed separately.

Use it from chat

You do not have to open Timezone Converter to use it. Ask Xenition in plain language and it runs the right tool, then carries the answer into whatever you are working on — a document, a spreadsheet, a deck.
